ANCRiSST 2016

The 12th International Workshop on Advanced Smart Materials and Smart Structures Technology (ANCRiSST2016)

This Annual Workshop is included in ICSIC 2016 and therefore the dates for ICSIC/ANCRiSST will be from Monday 27 to Thursday 30 June, 2016, in Cambridge. Participants attending the Workshop will need to register for ICSIC 2016.  ANCRiSST presentations will be scheduled for Thursday 30 June.

The Department of Engineering at University of Cambridge (UK) and the Asian-Pacific Network of Centers for Research in Smart Structure Technology (ANCRiSST) are jointly organising the 12th International Workshop on Advanced Smart Materials and Smart Structures Technology on June 27-30, 2016 in Cambridge.

The purpose of this workshop is to assess the current progress on smart materials and structures technology, developing synergies among researchers in various disciplines from different countries in a way that will facilitate joint research projects that are of such scope and magnitude that cannot be easily carried out by the individual centres.

The workshop will consist of keynote lectures, technical presentations, and panel discussions. Submissions are encouraged in any area related to smart materials and smart structures. Contributions of papers from non-ANCRiSST members are also welcome. Key themes are below:

  • Smart materials for sensors and actuators
  • Multifunctional materials
  • Sensor network and system integration
  • Signal processing, diagnostics and prognostics
  • Structural health monitoring
  • Structural control
  • Bio-inspired smart structure design
  • Applications to civil, mechanical and medical systems
Papers submitted to ICSIC/ANCRiSST will be presented during the conference and workshop events, with specific ANCRiSST tracks on Thursday 30 June 2016.

ICSIC 2016 is organised by the Cambridge Centre for Smart Infrastructure and Construction
